Many of the stillborn babies I paint, have severe skin tissue abnormalities that makes their faces look different. It’s common that the lips are very dark, and parts of the face may also have parts of red or blue. With most paintings I remove the skin abnormalities and the medical tubes that sometimes covers parts of the babys face. Making sure to capture the beauty of the child, and leave out some of the trauma attached to the image.
